Bioethics emerged in the 1970s with the mission of responding to a series of problems related to advances in medical research and conflicts that arose in the hospital environment or environmental issues. Today, the development of emerging technologies (such as Artificial Intelligence and IOT devices) brings with it another set of conflicts related to ethical risks such as information bubbles, lack of transparency of algorithms, reproduction of social biases. A new discipline related to ethics in emerging technologies is emerging to respond to these needs.
